Description

Who’s ready to make a paddle for Paddle to Alcatraz? What a great way to start our indigenous weekend celebration. The red cedar planks come from Prince of Whales Island in southeast Alaska.

Thanks to Sealaska Heritage Institute, Master carver Doug Chilton and JZ (Jim Zeller) from One People Canoe Society will be joining us to host a paddle workshop.

  • No open toe shoes
  • Wear appropriate clothing for wood working
  • Bring your own lunch
